Castries Market
The soul of the city

About Castries Market
The tourism authority calls the market the soul of the city. Established in 1891, it fills with fruit, spices, handmade crafts, local sauces and Creole treats, and on Saturdays farmers and artisans come in from all over the island. Breakfast stalls open from about six, when green fig and saltfish is at its best.
