Morne Fortune & Fort Charlotte
The view over Castries harbour

About Morne Fortune & Fort Charlotte
Morne Fortune rises behind Castries, and its position over the harbour made it one of the island’s key military strongholds in the wars between France and Britain. Fort Charlotte and other fortifications survive across the hill, and today it is a peaceful lookout over the city, the cruise port and the coast.
