One of the island’s oldest gardens
About Mamiku Gardens
Mamiku is on the east coast between the villages of Praslin and Mon Repos, and its history goes back to 1766, when the Baron de Micoud bought the “Union de Micoud” estate. The tourism authority calls it one of the island’s oldest botanical gardens, with walking paths through tropical plants and plantation ruins. It is open daily from 9am to 5pm, except Good Friday, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
