About Marigot Bay and the west coast: the back story
South of Castries the west coast turns green and steep. Marigot Bay is a deep, sheltered inlet whose Hurricane Hole has long been a safe anchorage, now home to a yacht haven and waterside restaurants. Further south come the Roseau Valley and its rum distillery, the fishing village of Anse La Raye with its Friday fish fry, the snorkelling bay of Anse Cochon and the village of Canaries.
