Anse La Raye Fish Fry
Fresh fish on the coal pots

About Anse La Raye Fish Fry
By day the fisheries complex at Anse La Raye is busy with brightly painted pirogues coming in with the catch; on Friday evenings it moves to the villagers’ coal pots and grills along the beachfront. The tourism authority lists snapper, tuna, dorado, barracuda, Spanish mackerel, lobster and crab, served with breadfruit, rice and fried plantain. It also says the big Fish Fry is held on the last Friday of every month, so check locally before you make the trip.
